The hospital offers both in-patient and out-patient psychiatric services - psychiatric patients with acute symptoms are admitted for treatment. There is an out-patient clinic once per week at the hospital for follow-up treatments. As there is no separate drug rehabilitation centre in the country,  detoxification and partial rehabilitation services are also offered by the Centre.

There are well-planned community psychiatric services for the country, which are planned, coordinated and executed by the staff of Mental Health Centre, Staff Nurses and the Nursing Aids. The doctors attached to the Centre also offer two out-patient clinics weekly for the Psychiatric patients and the Liaison Psychiatric services at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital. There are also community psychiatric clinics attended by the doctors attached to the Mental Health Centre.
