Mission Statement
Our aim is to produce the highest quality radiographic and other images in the shortest possible time, at the lowest possible cost and using the least amount of radiation consistent with current practices to contribute to good health care.
Vision Statement
The Vision of the Department of Radiology is to always have an adequate number of trained staff; to provide staff with information in the current practice of the science of radiography, (i.e.: access to regular update courses); to have functional equipment; and have available adequate supplies to provide the highest quality service possible to all patients.
Key Clients
Our main clients are patients from the hospital – which include the Hospital Wards and Operating Theatre; the Hospital Out-Patient Clinics, the District Medical and Dental Clinics, the Health Centres and the Accident and Emergency Department. The Department also affords services requested by Private Medical and Dental practitioners throughout the country.
Programme Objectives
- To improve storage, accountability, archiving and retrieval of patients' records and department’s records.
- To have patient waiting time for appointments no longer than one month - six weeks at the most.
- To have equipment failure corrected within two weeks.
