Central Medical Stores (CMS) plays a vital role in the quest of the Ministry of Health and the Environment to address the health needs of the population of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The department performs activities geared towards ensuring that there is an adequate supply of pharmaceuticals and related goods available in the public health institutions throughout Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It provides custom brokerage services for the entire Ministry of Health and the Environment.
Central Medical Stores is charged with the responsibility to procure, manage, prepare, and distribute all pharmaceuticals and medical supplies for use within the public health sector.

The Central Medical Stores performs the role of ordering and distribution of drugs, other medical supplies and equipment to all the district clinics and hospitals in the State. Its role also includes the procurement of raw materials for the production of lotions, mixtures, etc.
