World Health Day is celebrated on 7th April each year to mark the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organisation (WHO).  It provides us with a unique opportunity to mobilize action around a specific health topic of concern to people all over the world.

The focus for this year's campaign is depression.  To mark the occasion the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment, in collaboration with the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) Community College will hold a panel discussion on the topic, at the Community College (Villa), on Thursday 6th April from 9:30  to 11:00 a.m.  The  panel will comprise of:

  • Dr. Karen Providence, Medical Officer
  • Dr. Jozel Miller, Psychologist
  • Sister Dian Bailey, Senior Nursing Officer
  • Ms. Ellicia Mathews, Staff Nurse

Following the presentations from the panel, the audience, which will comprise Psychology students from the College, will be given an opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification.  The public is invited to be part of the live audience, by following the discussion via live streaming at https://youtube/G13mCiXdbII
