Twenty surgeries are scheduled to be carried out at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital this week, (which began on 15th October 2018), as part of the World Pediatric Project's (WPP), Urology Mission to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Urology is the branch of medicine and physiology concerned with the function and disorders of the urinary system.

World Pediatric Project's Director for the Eastern Caribbean, Mrs. Jacqueline Brown-King,  told NBC News that the medical team arrived in the state on Saturday 13th October and they hosted their usual all-day clinic on Sunday 14th October 2018.

Mrs. Browne-King also said that the surgeries have already begun, with about five scheduled to be performed each day.
