A team of Medical Personnel from the United States provided free medical services to patients at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital from Monday 28th January to Friday 1st February, compliments the Lions Club Saint Vincent South.. The team, headed by Vincentian Dr. Steve Nanton, comprised of eight Doctors, Nurses and Anesthesiologist from the Avera McKennan Hospital in South Dakota, USA.
They carried out Endoscopy and Colonoscopy Services at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital through referrals from Medical Doctors here, they compiled a list of critical patients and the Doctors performed medical treatment of the stomach.
The Doctors have partnered with the Olympus Corporation to provide surgical equipment needed for the procedures here. The Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center is a leading provider of health care in the United States.
