Prime Minister, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, has assured the public that the Medical Centre being constructed at Georgetown is still on course and that the equipment for the Centre will arrive from Cuba in time for the opening of the facility.

Speaking at a news conference last Friday, Dr. Gonsalves noted that the Medical Centre was among projects discussed during a recent visit to Cuba by a delegation from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and that 75 percent of the construction work on the Centre has been completed.

The Prime Minister confirmed, following discussions held in Cuba, that the medical equipment for the Diagnostic Centre will arrive in time for the official opening of the Centre.
