The Nutrition Unit, Community Nursing Service, and the National Infant and Young Child Nutrition Committee within the Ministry of Health and the Environment have recently combined to hold a launching ceremony for the new Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Child Health Records and the EPI Manual.
These new child health records will introduce the assessment of child growth using the new WHO child growth standards as well as introduce child development assessment using the PAHO IMCI child development screening tool. The EPI manual outlines in detail, the current trends in management of the Expanded Program of Immunization services and standards in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and act as a reference tool. Its primary aim is to provide Health Workers with up-to-date knowledge about immunization and to maintain and improve EPI services and standards.
