Thirty-seven Medical students, including one Vincentian, received their White Coats when the All Saints University, College of Medicine, hosted the 15th White Coat Ceremony held on Saturday, 12th August at the Arnos Vale Campus, which began at 4.00 p.m.


The donning of the White Coat by medical students represents the transition of 4th-semester students from the Basic Sciences to the Clinical phase of the MD (Doctor of Medicine) programme.

The ceremony heard addresses from Dr. Wisam Al Hadif, Dean of Basic Sciences,;Minister of Tourism, Sports and Culture and Parliamentary Representative for West St George, Cecil Mc Kie; Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Senator Deborah Charles; and Dr. Joshua Owo-labi; who spoke on behalf of the Faculty, as well as a presentation from the Valedictorian.

The three top students received scholarship awards, and there was also be the naming of students to the Dean’s List.

The All Saints University, College of Medicine, commenced operations in September 2011 in Belair, with an additional Campus added at Arnos Vale last year.
