This Unit will focus on, but not limited to, monitoring of environmental parameters such as air quality, recreational and potable water quality, occupational health and safety issues, noise, pollution form liquid and solid waste, and effluent discharge from industries, inter alia.
Objectives:
- To strengthen and enforce the regulatory Framework to facilitate the effective functioning of the Environmental Engineering Unit (EEU).
- To strengthen and where necessary establish the capacity to undertake monitoring of environmental parameters.
- To improve data collection and analysis monitoring capabilities of the Environmental Health Division.
